RurALL
Rural Active Citizenship LABS
About the Project
RurALL (Rural Active Citizenship LABS) is a project that's all about the idea that 'citizen participation is citizen power'. The 2-year project is funded by the European Union under the CERV-2023-CITIZENS-CIV call coordinated by KÉK aims to empower rural people in local and EU-level environmental action and policy-making on global climate change. We want to get more rural people involved in climate and environment-related discussions, actions and policymaking. We're looking to reach and engage those who aren't currently active in or disappointed by existing local or EU-level policymaking. We're here to help rural citizens get involved in different ways, from raising awareness and sharing information to taking action in their communities and engaging with policymakers.

Strengthening Rural Participation: Exploring Decision-Making and Hospitality in Ecoplaces
Pistes-Solidaires, within the framework of the RurALL project (Rural Active Citizenship Labs), organized its Decision-Making Modelling and Simulation Workshop in Loubieng, Pyrénées-Atlantiques. The event gathered 27 participants in the inspiring setting of Mirasou, a rural ecoplace that has become a symbol of agroecology, social inclusion, and rural innovation.
About Us
The project consortium is made up of 6 partners from 5 different countries - Hungary, Spain, Slovakia, Portugal (2 partners), and France. Partners were selected to support both the geographical (rural areas) and the professional focus (boosting citizen participation in environmental actions) of the project based on their previous experience in nonformal climate and sustainability education, participatory methods, and active citizenship.
The consortium links different types of organizations each with special expertise relevant to the project objectives.
